Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday said there was a proposal to link other parts of Gurgaon with Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, through Metro rail.
Besides, he added, 750 lowfloor intra-city buses would be plied to improve connectivity.
About 150 such buses would soon start in Gurgaon.
Addressing a gathering at Gurgaon village, he said haphazard development took place in Gurgaon during the regime of Opposition parties and infrastructure was not created at the pace it should have been.
Referring to the demand raised by Minister of State for Agriculture and Co-operation Sukhbir Kataria and local MP Rao Inderjeet Singh about reduction in compensation by the Punjab and Haryana High Court of the land acquired seven years back, Hooda said though the matter was of complex nature, it is about to be solved.
Kataria and Rao Inderjeet Singh had said the compensation fixed by the Sessions Court was lowered by the High Court because of which villagers from 20 villages in the district suffered losses of about Rs 150 crore.
Hooda said a survey was being done for regularising the unauthorized colonies and till now 13 colonies in Gurgaon have been covered.
A survey in 38 other colonies would soon be completed. He said the government was in favour of helping the people in their habitation rather than uprooting them.
Therefore, the government has not demolished any house constructed before the notification, he added.
On the demand put forth by Kataria, the Chief Minister announced construction of a community centre in Sector 12, repair of primary health centre at Gurgaon village, naming two roads of the village after freedom fighters Dayakishan Kataria and Kartar Singh Kataria.
Hooda also announced that construction of the old railway road and new railway road would be completed by March 31.
