DRAW OF LOTS TO DECIDE ALLOTTEES FOR 615 UNITS UNDER THE EWS SCHEME AT TICKET PRICE OF RS 3.10 TO 3.24
Leading real estate developer, Omaxe Ltd, on Thursday began the process to allot flats to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) at PDA Omaxe City, Patiala, Punjab.
Omaxe allotted 960 units with basic amenities, well-furnished layout, at a ticket price ranging between Rs 3.10 to Rs 3.24 lakh.
The allotment was organised through a manual draw of lots under which 615 flats were offered to the buyers from the general category and the rest 345 flats were reserved as per policies of the Punjab Government.
Total applications received were 6,236, including from the reserved categories.
Spread over an area of 11.9 acres with a super build-up area of 350.3 sq ft, these EWS flats are available in G+2 floors. The EWS units are the part of PDA Omaxe City, a self-sustained township located at Sirhind Road, Baran, Patiala, connecting GT Road with Ludhiana and Amritsar.
The construction of the township is underway and is slated for completion in 2012.
Rohtas Goel, CMD Omaxe Ltd said, “We are trying to provide comfortable living at affordable price for people belonging to the low-income group. The EWS flats have received an over-subscription by six times.“
He said, “Patiala, with its historic and cultural legacy coupled with counts of numerous small-scale industries along with multifarious infrastructure development gives us the advantage of being present in a city where the people are keen as well as working towards growth. These factors along with strategic location, right price and high quality will prove to be vital in increasing the overall demand for PDA Omaxe City.“
PDA Omaxe City is spread over an area of approx 336 acre entailing an investment of Rs 800 crore. This self-sufficient city will comprise world-class IT Park, Bio-tech Park and will have a total of 1,700 plots of area ranging from 200 sq yard to 1,350 sq yard.
The project will have shopping complex, commercial spaces, gym and health club, institutional area, in-house club with swimming pool, games, sports, banquet hall, educational campuses, hospital and more international standard infrastructure, in a green and pollution free environment. The township is being developed in agreement with Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority and Omaxe. Together the two agencies will undertake the implementation of the project involving the design, development, financing, construction, marketing, sales, operation and maintenance in accordance with the provisions of the agreement.
