The Haryana Government has decided to connect Gurgaon with the Indira Gandhi International Airport through a high-speed Metro rail, besides taking up the issue of additional road links between Delhi and the towns of National Capital Region.
A spokesman of the Haryana Town and Country Planning Department said the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRCL) had already been requested to prepare the detailed project report for which terms of reference were being finalised.
The government has also taken up the issue of metro extension from Badarpur to Faridabad, from Mundka to Bahadurgarh with Delhi.
The Delhi government has agreed to provide two addi- tional links to Gurgaon and efforts are being made for two more links for Gurgaon and Rajiv Gandhi Education City in Sonepat.
